Fawn Fairy Illustration {Fairies of Versailles}

Fawns were very special to the fairies of Versailles. Many of the fair folk looked on them as kindly company. Some fawns were  different, touched. They could be born with a touch of magic in them. While the humans who did not know how to see might feel something was different. The way the fawn would focus on more then surviving or playing. It might contemplate a star, or stare into a snow drift. The humans who could see might not be as uncomfortable with the fawn's similarities but might also see just for an instant, out of the corner of their eye that the new horns of the stag might glitter and the snow that fell around the new baby buck would shimmer.
