Madame de Pompadour {Royal Dogs}

Madame de Pompadour was an amazing woman in the 1700's. She was a very influential friend to the king of France and shaped French arts, crafts, policy, and architecture

.

Penelope and Beatrice had first heard about the uncrowned queen of France when they were looking into what kind of dog to choose. Once they decided on a smaller dog (to keep teddy bear Beatrice safe from larger chewy puppy jaws) they did see a very unusual dog called a  Papillion. A favorite of Madame de Pompadour who also loved spaniels and poodles. She loved her dogs so much that she had crafted a collar of pure silver for her spaniel.
