3 Things to know about Hypatia Math Genius

Did you know that once a very long time ago lived a woman so brilliant that when she died it was said that it was also the decline of Alexandria as a center of learning?

This amazing woman was named Hypatia and she lived in Alexandria from 370-415 AD.

1. Hypatia was a teacher of Math, Science, Philosophy, and Astronomy.

2. She was the head of the Platonism School. As a woman! At a time where women were not likely to even be found as students in a school!

3. Her father was a mathematician.

To this day she so respected that she appears both time in the Comos (a favorite show in my home).
